Chicago Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson is making some serious waves to kick off his offseason, pulling off two large trades today on the draft floor at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

First up, Davidson traded star forward Alex DeBrincat to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the 7th overall pick, a 2nd round and a 3rd pick. Then Davidson shipped out former 3rd overall pick Kirby Dach to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for the 13th overall pick and another 2nd round pick. In essence, the Blackhawks loaded up on draft picks by shipping out DeBrincat and Dach.

And if you're a veteran like Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane, well you can't help but feel like you just don't fit with the team's trajectory these days. In fact, Patrick Kane via his agent Pat Brisson let it be known that he's not happy but that he's not "making any decisions" at this point in time.

From NHL insider Pierre LeBrun:

Oof... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Kane finds himself seeking a trade out of Chicago in the near future.
