Patrick Kane ends his return to Chicago with the OT winner!
You could not have written a better ending to the story, Patrick Kane ends it in overtime!
You couldn't have written a script any better than this.
Patrick Kane made his big return to the United Center in Chicago on Sunday night, this time as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, and as he did so many times in the past in this building, Kane stole the show.
It all came down to overtime and with the game on the line and on his stick, Kane would make no mistake. Kane was gifted a breakaway and got to go 1 on 1 with former Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek, beating Mrazek clean and causing the United Center to erupt in cheers.
Even the fans wearing the Blackhawks gear were on their feet cheering for a player who brought them so much joy over the years.
