Kane is done in Chicago.
It is all but official now, Patrick Kane appears to be done in Chicago.
In a report that will no doubt break the hearts of thousands of fans in Chicago, TSN National Hockey League insider Darren Dreger has just broke the news that Patrick Kane has left the Chicago Blackhawks. On Saturday, Dreger took to social media to confirm that Kane has returned home and is no longer with the team, I presume this is in anticipation of the heavily rumored trade to the New York Rangers.
Both the Blackhawks and the Rangers have made moves today that would appear to indicate that both sides anticipate this deal will get done, and it may in fact inly be a formality at this point. The Rangers have sent Jake Leschyshyn to waivers today, and they may be waiting for him to either clear or be claimed in order to have enough room to pull the trigger on this deal.
Update: ESPN's Emily Kaplan has now also confirmed the news.
Stay tuned for more details.
