Anyone who saw Patrick Kane play in his Detroit Red Wings debut knew that it would not be long before he would score his first as a Red Wing, and as it turns out we only had to wait one more game.

Kane has now recorded his first as a Detroit Red Wing and it could not have come at a bigger time with the Red Wings down a goal in what has proved to be a very emotional game this evening with Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin getting knocked out cold in the first period.

Kane's goal would tie up the game for the Red Wings, getting them back into the emotionally charged affair, and it was a big one for the man himself as well. Kane made no effort to hide the joy he felt at scoring his first goal after a long road to recovery, even treating fans in Detroit to his signature celly.
