Chicago Blackhawks star rookie Connor Bedard may want to keep his head on a swivel in the future when Patrick Kane is around.

On Sunday night, Bedard and his Blackhawks welcomed Kane and his Detroit Red Wings to the United Center in Chicago for what turned out to be a terrific and emotionally-charged atmosphere.

During the game Bedard would lay a hit on Kane along the boards, a hit that naturally drew the attention of many fans who were watching this game very closely.

The hit also caught the attention of Patrick Kane, and perhaps not necessarily in a good way.

Following the game Kane was asked about the hit he received from the young Blackhawks star, and Kane admitted that he took it easy on Bedard during the game because he felt bad for him. Kane also indicated that, once Bedard's face has fully healed, he won't be so lenient in the future.

"[Connor is] lucky he had the bubble on or I would’ve gone after him," said Kane in response to the hit.

As if the conclusion of last night's game wasn't enough to make you anticipate a potential rematch, now you have a new rivalry between two top stars to look forward to as well.
