The Detroit Red Wings have signed veteran forward Patrick Kane to a one year contract worth $3 million.
NHL insider Chris Johnston on how the contract shakes down, including up to an additional $4 million in bonuses:
Players age 35 and over are eligible to sign contracts with performance bonuses on one-year deals.
The 36 year old Kane put up 59 points in 72 games with the Red Wings last season and will be tasked with helping this team finally get back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2025-26.
