After a long deliberation, Patrick Marleau made his choice and moved to Toronto. Through his 3 years deal, he will surely be a big hand in the Leaf's development, notably with the numerous youngsters. You would expect him to walk in as conqueror, stating his demands, but it's actually the inverse. Marleau is a very humble guy.

"It's definitely an honor to be able to call myself a Maple Leaf. Obviously as a Canadian-born player." said Marleau. "This decision took me quite awhile to come to, but I've made it, and I'm happy with it."

The decision didn't come lightly for the 37 years old, who's contract will take him to his early 40's. Toronton might very well be his last team in the NHL.

"I think I've worn out a few carpets pacing around the house trying to make this decision over the last couple days. But, I'm extremely excited and happy to be a part of the Maple Leafs organization."

Now, only one sentence can describe his state of mine, and we'll let him have the last word.

"I can't wait to get started."
