"You're not gonna f***ing finish the game!"
It's vintage Patrick Roy in Dallas this evening.
The New York Islanders' coach went absolutely ballistic on Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen and the entire Stars roster after Rantanen took Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov out with a dirty hit.
First off, here's the hit in question:
Romanov had a clear play on the puck ahead of a charging Rantanen, creating a very dangerous situation. You can even see Romanov's defensive partner Scott Mayfield trying to slow Rantanen up in an attempt to protect his teammate. He clearly gets a hook in on Rantanen, but it's not enough. Rantanen ends up blowing through them both and ends up running Romanov in the numbers.
To be clear, I don't think this was a malicious play from Rantanen, just a bit reckless.
In any case, that's a bad hit.
And it's exactly what set St. Patrick off.
Roy absolutely lost his mind on the Islanders bench, screaming at Rantanen as he headed down the tunnel, all while Romanov was helped off the ice. Roy can even be caught shouting ""You're not gonna f***ing finish this game!"

Again... vintage Patty Roy!
If that weren't enough controversy for ya, the Stars appeared to tie the game with under a second left but the goal was reversed on a goaltender interference penalty.

That's a tough pill to swallow.
