Paul Maurice makes lineup changes for Game 1 vs. Edmonton despite success in East Final
It is confirmed : the Panthers head coach has shaken up his lines. See down below:
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice does not have a choice but to make a lineup change going into tonight’s Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
While the Cats made it past the Carolina Hurricanes in five games with A.J. Greer playing in most games, he has dealing with the lower-body injury that kept him out of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final, meaning the Panthers are making changes to their fourth line for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. Greer may not be dealing with a fracture, but the Cats still need to fix the lineup vs. Edmonton.
Greer, who is also expected to miss Game 2, will be replaced by Jesper Boqvist.
This will be Boqvist’s 12th playoff game; he has recorded two goals and five points this postseason.
This is the Panthers’ projected line up for tonight:
Rodrigues - Barkov - Reinhart
Verhaeghe - Bennett - Tkachuk
Luostarinen - Lundell - Marchand
Boqvist - Nosek - Gadjovich
Forsling - Ekblad
Mikkola - Jones
Schmidt - Kulikov
Bobrovsky
Game 1 kicks off later tonight, at 8ETpm, in Edmonton.
