Pearson and Virtanen to take matters into their own hands next time they face Leipsic?

In case you missed the news yesterday Washington Capitals forward Brendan Leipsic found himself at center of a broiling controversy after some of his group text messages were leaked online via a friend’s Instagram story.

Leipsic, who formerly played for the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Vegas Golden Knights and Toronto Maple Leafs, and some of his friends make some awful statements about women and single out former Canucks teammate Tanner Pearson’s wife calling her fat and “actually disgusting.”

Leipsic absolutely goes off on Pearson's wife to the point where, honestly, it seems like he's obsessed. It's weird. He also calls out former Canucks teammate Jake Virtanen as well, calling him and his friends the "worst crew ever." WTF... where'd that come from?

Time for some honest, Brendan. You've played for five teams over the past five years and can't seem to find a place to stick. Maybe, just maybe you're the problem. You seem to have a lot of problems with some of your teammates, but have you ever considered looking in the mirror?

Leipsic initially deleted his Instagram account and went dark on all social media, but did offer an apology on Twitter yesterday evening.
