The free agent season is still roughly a month away, but one free agent may have just tipped his hand.
St. Louis Blues veteran forward Troy Brouwer spoke recently to Vancouver's 1130 News and admitted he's put some thought into the possibility of coming home and play for the team he grew up watching.
"I have thought about it, for sure," said Brouwer. "Family & friends, playing for my hometown, it would be an experience for sure."
Brouwer seemed to indicate that the potential of him playing for his home town team would depend on how Vancouver approaches the offseason.
"Definitely would be a great experience to play for the hometown team and see what it's like but I don't know what the Canucks plans are."
