Penguins and Bruins caught in bidding war?
Rumors of two giants vying for the same target on the trade war.
It appears that we may have a bidding war for Vancouver Canucks forward Nils Hoglander on the trade market.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported on his most recent 32 Thoughts podcast that Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas has serious interest in Hoglander. Friedman, however, also reports that there will be several teams interested in Hoglander.
From Friedman:
"I think there are some teams that are very interested, I think Pittsburgh would be one of those teams, he's signed and Pittsburgh makes a lot of sense, you look at the players that Pittsburgh is collecting, Hoglander fits it."

So... who else is in the running?
Unsubstantiated rumors online point to the Boston Bruins.
GM Don Sweeney is just as desperate as Dubas to make a move and to improve is roster immediately. While Friedman reports that Hoglander would be a 'perfect fit' for the Penguins, I think he's actually a better fit with the Bruins.
Thoughts, Bruins fans?
