Is this it for Geno?
The future of Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin has been up in the air for awhile now. Today, Pens GM Kyle Dubas made a definitive statement on Malkin's future with the team.
With Malkin's contract expiring and with Malkin openly saying that it's Pittsburgh or bust for him, there's been speculation that this could be the end of the road for the future Hall of Famer.
Today though, Dubas confirmed that the team wants Malkin to return and he will be negotiating with Malkin's representatives on a new contract this offseason.
From Dubas earlier today:
"We had a great exit interview with Evgeni directly, and great conversations with him and his agent J.P. Barry... So we would love to have him back, and we continue to work with J.P. on it."
