Penguins release discouraging health updates
As if things weren't going badly enough.

As if things weren't going badly enough right now for the Pittsburgh Penguins, they now have to deal with more injury woes.
Forward Jansen Harkins, who was injured after being hit by Winnipeg Jets center Adam Lowry in Saturday's 2-1 loss at Canada Life Centre, has been placed on Injured Reserve with a concussion.
Additionally, Letang departed practice after being "nicked up", while Evgeni Malkin was absent entirely due to being given a "maintenance day".
Head coach Mike Sullivan didn't give a clear idea on whether or not the team would be calling up reinforcements from their American Hockey League affiliate Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
"We're going to see how we do here day-to-day," Sullivan said. "I'm sure Kyle [Dubas] will make the necessary to give us the best roster to put on the ice."
The news wasn't all negative, however. Forward Noel Acciari, who suffered a concussion of his own and hasn't been available for the past two games, is making progress and skated prior to the rest of his teammates at the team practice facility in Cranberry.
The Penguins currently find themselves in second to last place in the Metropolitan Division, ahead of only the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets and seven points out of the Wild Card playoff spot.
They next face the Florida Panthers at PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
