Things got ugly fast for the Penguins in Pittsburgh as the San Jose Sharks came to town. The Western team was merciless, blanking the Pens 4-0 in a humiliating loss.

However, that wasn't the ugliest part of the game.

As you read in the headline, the Penguins and the Sharks got into a line brawl during a commercial break as frustration was building from the loss on the Pittsburgh bench.

It all started as the game was headed to a commercial break when things heated up on the ice. As players are pushing and showing, you can even see the poor employee with his shovel wanting to clear the ice as he is asked to do. However, the men are too busy throwing punches.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was staying out of it at the start, however, when he was that defenseman Brenden Dillion kept wanting to get involved in the first with his team Zach Aston-Reese, who was already busy punching someone else, the captain had enough so he started throwing rights into the mix.

Unfortunately for him, Sharks enforcer Michael Haley caught up to him and tackled Crosby to the ice, however, the officials were there to break it up before Haley made some real damage on Sid's face.

After the bout, referees were trying to assess penalties and sent Dillon, Haley, Marcus Pettersson and Crosby to the dressing as all players were thrown out with misconducts. As blue liner Kris Letang was trying to get an explanation on the penalties, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan was furiously yelling from his bench and the officials had enough: he was tossed from the game.

The sad thing is that all of this messy violence took place in front of several young kids who were standing behind the Pens' bench...

They probably didn't pay to see their favourite player get thrown out of the game...
