Penguins may be down a man.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are hoping they won't head into Game 2 down a man, but there's still some uncertainty surrounding the status of Chris Kunitz.

The Penguins forward was injured in a total freak accident during Game 1, when an errant puck found it's way onto the Penguins bench and struck Kunitz in the head. It's a strange way to get injured in a playoff series, but the Penguins are hoping it's a very minor injury.

Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan spoke to the media on Friday and stated he was hopeful Kunitz would return for Game 2, but did admit that he was day to day going into the week-end.

"Chris Kunitz would be day-to-day. Hopefully Chris will be okay. We think he will be."

It sounds like this could be a game time decision.
