The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to win their sixth straight game against the Washington Capitals today.

Even without Evgeni Malkin the Pens have continued their solid play and have fired up the Metropolitan division standings. They are now just 2 points back of the second place New York Rangers with one game in hand. Sidney Crosby has completely returned to form, once again being the dominating force that he has been throughout his career. Probably the most positive note has been the play of Kris Letang. He has been able to stay healthy and already has a career high in goals that he seems to keep adding to recently. Marc-Andre Fleury has also been very good.

The Pens seem to have finally found some depth guys who fit in and who can produce. Carl Hagelin has been a great fit in Pittsburgh so far. He has 18 points in 26 games and his great speed makes him dangerous every game.

Depth is probably the most important piece if you want to go far in the playoffs. It's great having all world talent like Crosby and Malkin but if no one else is able to put the puck in the net, then chances are that you won't go very far. The Pens have finally seemed to have addressed that and will look to continue their winning ways and hopefully have it continue deep into the playoffs.
