Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford may be denying rumors that defenseman Ian Cole is on his way out, some NHL reporters can already see him in a different uniform.

The Edmonton Oilers may have notched their second straight victory with an overtime win over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday, they still have a lot of areas to improve on to make the playoff run again this year.

Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli will have to decide whether to buy or sell at the trade deadline and Edmonton Journal's Jim Matheson revealed that the Oilers are surely one of the teams interested in Cole.

Cole, who is a pending free agent, could be added as a rental, since the Oilers won't be able to afford to re-sign him next season.

But a lot of teams are in the market for a quality defenseman, and you can count the Oilers as one of them.
