Pens’ Malkin takes shot at Ovechkin in Olympic comments

Russian reporter and KHL insider Slava Malamud made waves this morning on social media when he reported a quote from Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin regarding the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

As always with Malkin, we’re not entirely sure if he’s serious or just kidding. The truth probably lies somewhere in between. Unlike Ovechkin however, Malkin hasn’t made any definitive statement on what his plans are for the games this winter. 

While he has always been a loyal soldier for the Russian National Team, his commitment to the Penguins comes first.
