Fleury Publicly Addressed His Situation Following Last Night’s Game
The Pittsburgh Penguins were facing the Ottawa Senators in game 4 on Friday. Sidney Crosby tallied two points, including a goal in the 2nd, to back Matt Murray’s 24-save performance in the Penguins’ 3-2 win in Game 4.
However, following yesterday’s morning skate, the goalie controversy was officially back on in Pittsburgh as Mike Sullivan decided to go with Matt Murray in game 4 against the Ottawa Senators.
Fleury publicly addressed his situation following last night’s game.
“I don’t want to make this about me,” Fleury said in a quiet corner of the Penguins dressing room to Jason Mackey from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “Last playoffs, this season, it’s about the team. We won [Friday]. Scored some goals. That was nice.”
“I wasn’t worried,” Fleury said. “I knew Matt would do a great job.” He said following Pittsburgh Penguins win. “Matt played great,” Fleury said. “We got the win. That’s what mattered.”
