Pettersson joins Boeser in COVID-19 protocol

This just in, the Vancouver Canucks have announced that star forward Elias Pettersson has been placed in NHL protocol, presumably due to a positive COVID-19 test result.

Pettersson will join Brock Boeser (not literally...) in quarantine, although Boeser is expected to re-join the team later this week after completing his isolation with no symptoms. This news comes at the absolute worst time for the Canucks who are the hottest team in the NHL. Since firing former coach Travis Green and replacing him with veteran Bruce Boudreau, the Canucks have been red hot and players like Boeser and Pettersson have absolutely turned around their season under Boudreau.
