Phil Kessel gives surprising answer when asked if he will bring the Cup to Toronto.

It's not hard to imagine how or why National Hockey League forward Phil Kessel could feel some resentment when it comes to the city of Toronto as well as their fans and media. Kessel was effectively derided as a guy who couldn't win, who didn't have the drive or commitment to be great, and was eventually run out of town and dealt to the Penguins.

Despite that contentious situation Kessel, who is coming off the biggest moment of his professional career, appears to have little or no ill will at all when it comes to Toronto. In fact when he was asked during a radio interview with Sportsnet's 590 if he would he would do when he gets the Stanley Cup to himself Kessel gave a rather surprising answer.

What are your plans when you get your 24 hours with the Cup?

"You know I haven't fully decided but I have a lot of friends in Toronto, and it's where I spend of most of my time, I'll probably end up bringing it back there but nothing's for sure yet, nothing's decided." Before adding "I think there's a good chance that it'll happen."

It's an incredibly classy response from Kessel, and even the most ardent Kessel hater should take note of how he treats the city that shunned him when he could easily do otherwise.
