Every hockey fan is in a state of shock and remorse today for the passing of much loved ex-player and coach Pat Quinn. Quinn was always an imposing figure both as a player and behind the bench. He really gave his all for any team he was a part of. The "Big Irishman's" career was certainly filled with teams and accomplishments but he may be most fondly remembered as a part of the Vancouver Canucks. In the 1970 NHL Expansion Draft, Quinn was claimed by the Vancouver Canucks, and would go on to play two seasons for the club. He would also go on to serve as President and GM of the Canucks later on in his career. Quinn may be best remembered by Canucks fans as the man who orchestrated the Canucks run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1994. That run is remembered for their heartbreaking defeat in seven games, even though many fans give Quinn the credit for getting them that far. The outpouring of support and love from the hockey universe has been tremendous. The "Big Irishman" will forever live amongst the legends in the game of hockey.
