Pierre-Edouard Bellemare leaves heartfelt farewell message to Flyers fans.

Yesterday was Award night in the NHL but also the moment we learned who the Vegas franchise would pick for their expansion draft. A lot has been said about the picks that were made and how it will impact both the parting and the receiving team of the deal.

What's more interesting for Flyers fan is how Pierre-Edouard Bellemare was grabbed out of the roster. The French NHLer had a huge impact on the Flyers roster, both on and off the ice, and many fans wonder why GM Hextall didn't more to protect him. Other GMs gave away draft picks in order to keep valuable players in the lineup but apparently it wasn't meant to be.
