Pierre Engvall signs a new deal.
The Maple Leafs forward has a new contract.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have concluded an important piece of business.
According to a report from National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs have signed forward Pierre Engvall to a new one-year contract extension that comes in at ann.
Engvall was one of Toronto's restricted free agents coming into the offseason and given his performance thus far for the Maple Leafs it seemed likely that a new deal would be forthcoming. Engvall is coming off inarguably the best season of his National Hockey League career, setting news highs for games played (78), goals (15), assists (20) and points (30).
