Is Pierre-Luc Dubois laying the groundwork for what is expected to be his journey to Montreal?

Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois hasn't exactly given the Winnipeg Jets or Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff a great deal of leverage when it comes to trading him this summer, and unfortunately it seems he has no plans to remedy that situation anytime soon.

There has been a perception that Dubois' trade value has been damaged by the fact that he will only sign a long term deal with his prefered team, the Montreal Canadiens. Over the weekend Dubois poured a little gasoline on those rumors when he was spotted hanging out with a prominent member of the Montreal Canadiens, star forward Cole Caufield.

It was actually Caufield himself who revealed that the two were spending time together when he published an Instagram story that showed them on a boat together, alongside some other prominent NHL stars. We know that Caufield is currently in Montreal as he has published several images that indicate he is attending the F1 Grand Prix in Montreal.

Many believe that it will only be a matter of time before we see Dubois wearing a Canadiens jersey, and this certainly won't do anything to alter that perception.
