The NHL won't like the look of this hit.

During Saturday's Stadium Series' action between the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins, Flyers' defenseman Brandon Manning took out unsuspecting Penguins' forward Jake Guentzel with a high, late hit.

Manning appears to anticipate a pass to Guentzel and he targets him with a devastating hit to the head. The puck wound up being picked up by Guentzel's teammate, adding interference to the list of things wrong with the hit.

There was no penalty called on the play, much to the dismay of his Penguins' teammates.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety began reviewing the hit immediately after it occurred, and it's possible that they may incur further discipline.
