Fans in both Toronto and Ottawa who are eagerly awaiting news regarding the fate of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly will have to wait a few days.

The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has announced that Rielly will face his disciplinary hearing this coming Tuesday, and furthermore that the meeting will be held at the league's offices in New York City at some point during the afternoon.

This appears to be an indication that Rielly has accepted the in person hearing and will be going to New York City to meet with the league face to face.

The league announced earlier today that Rielly would face an in person hearing, a measure utilized by Player Safety when they intend to hand out a suspension of 6 or more games.

Rielly is of course facing a suspension for a nasty looking cross-check he delivered to the head of Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig on Saturday night.
