This is disgusting. Take this garbage to the WWE, buddy.
In case you missed it earlier today, Holden Anderson, who plays for the Gothiques d’Amiens in France body slammed opponent Julien Desrosiers, of the Boxers de Bordeaux, knocking Desrosiers out cold.
It was a brutal play that has no play in hockey. Sweeping the leg and scoring a takedown might fly in an MMA fight, but in hockey it’s a truly despicable thing to do. Since no defense against a leg sweep on skates, Desrosiers was essentially body slammed onto the ice and lost consciousness.
Here’s the play in question:
A stretcher was wheeled onto the ice and Desrosiers was rushed to the hospital. No update yet on his condition.
As for Anderson, as stated above he’s been suspended by his own team. The 25 year old defenseman originally from Montreal, Quebec has 15 points in 43 games for d’Amiens this season and is a former Cornell University graduate.
