One claim and one clear on the NHL waiver wire today.
This just in, the Nashville Predators have claimed defenseman Andreas Englund off of waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.
Incidentally, Seattle Kraken forward Mitchell Stephens has cleared waivers and will now be assigned to the team's AHL affiliate in Palm Springs, CA.
As for Englund, the 29 year old Swedish defenseman has essentially been a non-factor for the Kings this season. He has one goal in 11 games after a full 82 game campaign last season. It's expected that the Predators will use him as a temporary solution with Jeremy Lauzon out of the lineup due to injury.
