The drunk golfer was pummelled, thrown into pond during wild on-course fight that has since gone viral. And police got involved. More below:
On Tuesday, fans across the NHL thought former NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky was out of retirement and back in action. I guess he sorta was when a video featuring him went viral yesterday.
In the footage, it seems like two groups of “gentlemen” are in a disagreement on the tee at a Canadian golf course. Tarnasky can be heard saying that the group in front of them “stood around for 23 minutes”, so I can only imagine that there’s a pace of play issue here. That’s all but confirmed when buddy in the blue Hawaiian shirt appears too drunk to even tee up his ball.
I’m guessing that Tarnasky and his group asked to play ahead of the drunken idiots and were rebuffed. That’s when things escalated. Tarnasky warns his aggressor that “you don’t wanna go me” and tells him that if he comes at him “I’m gonna throw you in this f***ing lake unless you get going”.
That’s when things go off the rails and Tarnasky proceeds to not only throw this idiot into the lake, but he also dummies him with literal “BANGS” to the face and pigeon tosses him like he’s a pebble.
More information emerged later on Tuesday evening, when the TMZ revealed Canadian police officers responded to the scene after reports of an intoxicated person trying to start fights. The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived, according to the report.
I don’t assume police will be more involved with anyone pressing charges…
For the record, Tarnasky has 297 career penalty minutes in 245 career NHL games split between the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators and Florida Panthers. According to his hockeyfights.com page he’s gone toe to toe with the likes of Milan Lucic, Mike Commodore and Chris McGratton… oh and he’s 6’2, 230 lbs. Definitely not the guy you wanna mess with on or off the ice.
