The Nashville Predators simply can not catch a break on the injury front.

The Predators gathered together on Saturday for a morning skate ahead of their Saturday night match up against the New York Rangers and the bad news was already starting at that point. Although the Predators had not provided an official update on veteran forward Kyle Turris there were some rather concerning reports regarding his status from the media.

Robby Stanley of the National Hockey League's official website was the first to report that he had spotted Turris leaving the arena in a walking boot that morning, a report that Stanley would not have made unless he had verified that reality with his very own eyes. The report was strange however though because we had heard nothing from the Predators leading up to tonight's game, an indication that Turris could be in the line up in spite of his iunjury. It was just a few short days ago that Predator Austin Watson had also been spotted in a similar boot and in his particular case he had not missed a game as a result so the hope was it would be the same for Turris.

Unfortunately however Nashville Predators' insider Adam Vingan of the Tennessean has now confirmed that Turris is not only injured, but that he will also miss some time as a result of the injury. According to Vingan Turris is dealing with a "lower body injury" which comes as no surprise given the fact that he was spotted with the walking boot, and he is listed as "day to day." This obviously rules out Turris for the game tonight, although how many games he may miss is still up in the air at this point as we do not have the full details regarding his injury.
