Alexei Emelin went from the Montreal Canadiens to the Vegas Golden Knights, then from Vegas to the Nashville Predators in less than two weeks. The 31-year-old blueliner has been through his fair share of change lately, and it looks like it is not over for him just yet.
According to Preds' insider Adam Vingan, Emelin will wear #25 with Nashville instead of his usual 74, since it is already taken by young goaltender Juuse Saros:
Emelin was acquired from Vegas in exchange of a third-round pick in 2019. He joins his former teammate P.K. Subban in one of the most competitive franchise in the league.
Last season, he amassed two goals and eight assists in 76 games with the Habs. He added one goal in two playoff games. He played a total of 380 NHL career games, in which he recorded 72 points.
