Pro Wrestler 'CM Punk' goes off on Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.

CM Punk makes his feelings clear.

In spite of the fact that it has been a little while since fans of the National Hockey League have had a chance to see their favorite superstars compete in an actual game, it seems that hockey is still at the forefront of many people's minds.

On Sunday night we were treated to an example of this when, during a media conference for a pro wrestling Pay Per View event, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and some of his current and former teammates were the target of a few barbs from one of the participants.

Those barbs courtesy of the current All Elite Wrestling champion, a man who goes by the name of CM Punk. During the media scrum that followed the event, one in which you can see CM Punk proudly displaying the title belt he has just won in the short clip below, the AEW champion fielded a variety of questions, one of which led to some harsh words for the Penguins.

After answering the question CM Punk, who is well known as a die hard fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, once again grabbed the microphone to drop a few extra words for Crosby and the Penguins.

"F*** Sidney Crosby, f*** Malkin, f*** [unintelligible]," said CM Punk. "And you know what? F*** Ron Francis how about that? I'm still f***ing pissed."

The rant about the Penguins appears to have been prompted by one of the reports asking the questions, although the question itself did not appear to be the issue here. It's hard to tell given that the camera is only pointed in one direction, but if I had to wager a guess I would suspect that one of the reporters was wearing some type of Penguins memorabilia, resulting in the rant from CM Punk.

One thing is certain, CM Punk isn't letting go of this grudge anytime soon and I suspect he will be circling the days on his calendar this season when his Chicago Blackhawks once again face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
