We posted about this story a few times already, but Tucker Poolman's  story is going sideways these days.

The Jets fifth rounder pick in 2013 is actually playing with the University of North Dakota team and he was injured recently. In a weird sequence during March 18th National Collegiate Hockey Conference championship game, his left shoulder was hurt badly and the recovery time is not set yet.

"I'm getting (the shoulder) looked at this week to see how severe it is and if there's anything that needs to be done. I don't even have an answer yet.", he told the Winnipeg Free Press.

This turn of event has the 5th rounder taking a pause about his future. He was ready to make the jump to the AHL at least, and many expected him to sign an entry level contract with the team. However, he's now considering playing one more year in the collegiate level. He concludes.

"I believe so, yes," said Poolman when asked about the Jets' interest. "It just goes back to figuring out what's best for my health long term. Taking a step at a time before making a move to sign."

We will keep you posted about this, as usual.
