Prospect watch: Ryan Poehling is doing pretty good in the NCAA
Keystone Press

Montreal Canadiens first round pick in last June, Ryan Poehling, is having quite a year so far in the NCAA! The 25th overall pick in 2017 has registered 13 points in 11 games with St.Cloud State this season, and he is showing no sign of slowing down.

Prior to his draft year, the Lakeville, Minnesota native has registered 13 points in 35 games played at the NCAA level.

The Canadiens are looking for a number one center for years, and at 6'2", 183 pounds, Poehling has certainly the tools to fill up that role eventually. We are noy saying that he will be the solution in Montreal next year or even two years from now, but he is indeed showing Habs management team that they have made the good decision by drafting him.
