It seems like the Jesse Puljujarvi situation in Edmonton has taken an ugly turn...

While Oilers general manager Ken Holland is willing to be patient to get the right offer for the young forward who demanded a trade earlier this summer, it seems like Puljujarvi is not willing to wait anymore.

Unlike previous time where his agent spoke for himself, this time Puljujarvi personally made his intentions known, telling a Finnish media that he’ll stay in Finland until he has a new contract.

‘I want a new start with some other team. Playing in North America is still my goal.”
“I will stay on Oulu until I have a contract. I will find a place to play somewhere.’

The young forward even tried to sell his talents, letting teams know he has recovered from his recent hip surgery and feels much better.

Oilers insider David Staples of the Edmonton Journal wonders if the best option for Holland is to allow Puljujarvi to spend this season playing in Europe and regaining his confidence.

We all know Holland won’t move Puljujarvi for peanuts, but he could start to get bothered with the kid’s ongoing comments…
