Free agent center Vincent Trocheck is coming to New York City, signing a massive seven-year contract with the Rangers.
According to insider Arthur Staple, the annual salary comes at $5.625-million AAV.
This is a massive, lengthy deal for the forward who turned 29 years old two days ago.
It is expected that Trocheck will replace Ryan Strome in the second-line center spot next to Artemi Panarin.
Coming off three seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, Trocheck has proven to have some grit in his game, which is needed in NYC.
He put together his most productive season in five years in 2021-22, scoring 21 goals and dishing 30 assists in 81 regular-season games before racking up 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 14 playoff games.
