There's absolutely no sugar-coating this one, the New York Rangers have suffered a massive loss on the blue line, one that may very impact whether or not the make the postseason.
According to a report from the team itself they have lost defenseman Kevin Klein indefinitely after he fell awkwardly on his hand in the final minutes of the Rangers 3-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. According to the report Klein has suffered a fractured thumb, and the team has not set any sort of timeline for his return.
One would have to imagine with an injury this severe, if the Rangers fail to make the post season this could very well be the end of Klein's 2015-2016 NHL campaign. To make matters worse Rick Nash continues to be sidelined with a bone bruise.
Here's a look at how it all went down.
