Rangers’ fans demand specific opponent for Eastern conference final!

On Thursday night, the New York Rangers rallied back in the third period after being down 3-0 to the Carolina Hurricanes and storming back to win 5-3 and ultimately reaching the Eastern conference final, where they’ll face one of the Boston Bruins or Florida Panthers.
The Bruins will attempt to stave off elimination once again as they look to tie the second round series against Florida 3-3 to force a Game 7 over the weekend.
While they were celebrating their favourite team’s triumph, Rangers’ fans made it clear which opponent they want to face in the Eastern Finals. The fanbase is demanding to face the Bruins, and they were called out on social media for wanting the club down in the series:
To be honest, if I were the Rangers’ fans, I wouldn’t so easily choose the Bruins to compete against. Boston has always had the Blue Shirts in the playoffs…
As the Maven Stan Fishcler says in the Hockey News:
“For starters, the Bruins always knocked us out of the playoffs. They wound up fourth and sneaked in and we had to settle for another fifth place season.”
However, it won’t be easier against Florida if they managed to get past the Bruins and onto the final. Let’s not forget they made it all the way to the Stanley Cup show down last year and are probably looking to go back to win the whole damn thing this time around.
