A lot of changes have been coming to the New York Rangers, starting when they parted ways with head coach Gerard Gallant after the Blue Shirts were eliminated by the New Jersey Devils in the first round. However, Friday’s announcement of change stunned many when Arthur Staples of the Athletic reported that the Rangers had fired beloved athletic trainer Jim Ramsay, who had been with the team for almost 30 years.
“Athletic trainer for the team since 1994, worked several Olympics as Team Canada’s head trainer.”
The Rangers’ decision got fans reacting with many wondering and asking why Ramsay was let go.
Players always seemed to love Ramsay, who is considered one of the top trainers in the business. You have to wonder why the Rangers made the call, and what’s next for Ramsay.
This is a developing story.
