Rangers forced to replace injured Jimmy Vesey in Game 3.

The New York Rangers have made a change to their lineup, although it doesn't sound like it was an easy decision.

The New York Rangers have been forced to make a lineup change for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette has been put in a tough spot with forward Jimmy Vesey out for the foreseeable future, forcing him to make an adjustment to his lineup despite that lineup picking up a big win in Game 2.

It looked as though it would come down to either forward Kaapo Kakko or forward Blake Wheeler that would step into the lineup today and in fact both men were on the ice for warmups, but it sounds like it will be Kaapo Kakko who gets the nod today in lieu of Vesey.

Here is how the lineup looks for Game 3:

Kreider - Zib - Chytil
Panarin - Trocheck - Laf
Roslovic - Wennberg - Kakko
Cuylle - Goodrow - Rempe

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Trouba
Gus - Schneider
