To say Rick Nash had a disastrous post season last year would be a massive understatement.  Especially when you take into consideration his contract. Nash was a ghost, managing only 3 goals over the course of 25 post season games, and no points of any kind in the last 6 games of the Rangers post season, including all 5 games against the eventual cup winenrs the L.A. Kings. Nash was heavily criticized by both the New York and national media, and it seems like he heard those critics, to say Nash has made a complete turnaround would also be one hell of an understatement. Nash is on fire to start the Rangers regular season, 8 goals in 7 games and an assist on top of it, and they haven't been garbage goals either. He put one past the Devil's Cory Schneider to send the game to overtime where the Rangers eventually secured the win with a goal from Kevin Klein. Nash has come into the season in fantastic shape, arguably looking leaner than he has ever in his NHL career. Nash attributesthis to adding more running and sprints to his typical summer routine and it appears to have worked. He's also playing with reckless abandon, after being the victim of concussions Nash was reluctant to put himself in harms way last season, this year he's crashing the net every chance he gets. One thing for sure is Rangers fans are happy to have their star forward back at the level they expect from him.
