Yikes... this team has just $1,600 in cap space.
After being forced to play with just 16 players in the lineup thanks to salary cap restrictions, the New York Rangers have finally been granted an emergency recall by the NHL.
The Rangers have under $2,000 in cap space and but injuries to forwards Tyler Motte and Ryan Lindgren have left the team without players in their lineup and without money to recall someone from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Today though, the team was able to make an emergency recall for forward Jonny Brodzinski from Bridgeport.
Meanwhile Motte and Lindgren both skated this morning, but there has been no update on their injury status.
