Rasmus Dahlin makes MacKenzie Weegar eat the boards.
A smooth move from Dahlin.
It's one of those moments where you can just imagine how bad that's going to feel the next morning.
During one of Sunday's early games on the National Hockey League calendar veteran defenseman MacKenzie Weegar was involved in a pretty rough looking collision with the boards thanks entirely to himself. Weegar and his Florida Panthers were facing off against the Buffalo Sabres when he tried to deliver some punishment to Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, but unfortunately for Weegar the Sabres blue liner was more than ready for him.
Dahlin saw Weeger coming for him the whole way so, when the Panthers defenseman finally committed to the hit, he simply slammed on the breaks at the very last possible second and let Weegar's own forward momentum do the work. The end result was a violent collision between Weegar and the boards, one that I imagine he will still be feeling when he wakes up on Monday morning.
