Reason for Zach Hyman’s sudden absence from Oilers’ lineup revealed
He was pulled out of the lineup at the last minute yesterday against Ottawa:

Moments before puck drop between the Ottawa Senators and the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night, we all noticed that forward Zach Hyman did not participate in the pre-game warmup. He was then held out of the game, which Edmonton won 6-3 over the Senators.
At the time, no exact reason was given on why Hyman was not taking part in the contest and remained undisclosed throughout the night.
After the game, head coach Jay Woodcroft finally hinted at the reason why Hyman had missed the game, saying that his forward was “dinged up,” per team insider Daniel Nugent-Bowman.
Nothing more was said and I guess we will have to wait closer to the Oilers’ next game, which takes place on Thursday night at home against the visiting Dallas Stars, to get a full update on his condition.
Hyman has 29 goals and 72 points in 66 games for the Oilers this season.
Let’s see if he’s back Thursday…
