He's back playing in his hometown, and he's being rewarded for his accomplishments so far nearly halfway through the 2023-24 NHL season by being sent to his second career All-Star game.
Detroit Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat is Detroit's representative for the 2024 All-Star game, which will be held early next month in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena, the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This also marks the 2nd time that the venue has held the event, while Little Caesars Arena in Detroit is still awaiting their 1st All-Star game or NHL Draft [I](which is likely tied to the embarrassingly non-existent progress on District Detroit that was promised as part of the deal to build the venue in 2017, but that's a topic for another day.)[/I]
