The Detroit Red Wings have already announced an emergency roster move in the last week following the injury to forward Robby Fabbri, bringing up forward Austin Czarnik from the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins.

And now, there's been another such move announced. Detroit is bringing up forward Matt Luff from the Griffins:

Right now, there has been no report regarding an injury to a player already on Detroit's roster that necessitated the move.

This will be Luff's first action back with the Red Wings since he was injured thanks to a dirty hit from behind from Montreal's Juraj Slafkovsky in November. He's appeared in seven games with Detroit, scoring one goal. Meanwhile in 25 games with the Griffins, he's scored seven goals with 16 assists.
