As if the injury woes that the Detroit Red Wings have suffered this month weren't enough, they've added to the list and been forced into making an "emergency" roster move.
On their way back up yet again to the Red Wings roster are forwards Jonatan Berggren and Austin Czarnik as well as defenseman Simon Edvinsson. And the latest player to make an appearance on Injured Reserve is Christian Fischer, who was hurt after an nasty collision with teammate Jeff Petry on December 23 against New Jersey.
Edvinsson made his first appearance of the season on the 23rd against the Devils, while Berggren has already appeared in a handful of games for Detroit and was lighting the lamp before being inexplicably sent back down to the minors.
