The Detroit Red Wings have been without the services of defenseman Jake Walman for the last several games, as he was dealing with a lower body ailment.

However, it appears as though he'll be making his return to the lineup tonight after a six-game absence. According to beat writer Helene St. James of The Detroit Free Press, Walman will be skating tonight for the Red Wings against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena, while Olli Maatta will be sitting.

Meanwhile, this also means that struggling veteran Jeff Petry will continue his inexplicable presence in the lineup.

Walman has scored 12 goals with nine assists in the 61 games that he's played so far this season for the Red Wings, the first year of a new three-year extension that he agreed to before the start of this current campaign.
